Obstetrics

At Spalding Regional Hospital, we believe that all parents-to-be deserve options. That's why our Family Childbirth Center has developed special programs that offer the types of choices you desire and help better prepare you and your family for the addition of a new member.

We try to help make the birthing experience as easy as possible for the whole family by allowing time for the mother to recuperate as well as permitting the brothers and sisters to visit the baby either in the mother's room or through the nursery window.

In addition to wellborn and intermediate care, a 2 bed neonatal Intensive Care Unit is offered at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Orthopedics

Osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) affects thousands of women each year. Our orthopedic department serves these women as well as offering sports medicine programs specializing in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of women's injuries.

Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery has come a long way in recent years. While some people consider cosmetic surgery an alternative means to achieving a more desirable physical appearance, others turn to cosmetic surgery to alleviate pain and discomfort. Face lifts, thigh and buttock reduction, tummy tucks and eye procedures are a few of the specialties offered at SRH.

Urology

Bladder control problems are a sensitive subject for many people. We offer some of the latest technologically advanced equipment available, including laser for the treatment of these problems.

Gynecology

We encourage our patients to have an annual check-up and gynecological exam, including a blood pressure check, and a physical exam in which a physician examines the thyroid, breasts, abdomen, pelvis and rectum. The annual exam also includes a pap smear with any additional tests ordered by the physician. Consultation and surgery, if necessary, are available at SRH.

Mammography

If detected early, breast cancer is one of the most curable forms of cancer, thus mammograms are encouraged for our patients. We can do mammograms at SRH as well as at our off-site Mammography Center.

Educational Programs

We offer a variety of educational and support classes for women. Prepared childbirth classes focus on nutrition, exercise, breathing and relaxation techniques and the birth experience.
