Here are some steps you can take to be prepared for your sleep study.
- Plan to arrive at the Sleep Center by 7:30 p.m. on the night of your study.
- Bring comfortable clothes to wear during your study.
- Bring your insurance card and photo identification.
- Keep your routine schedule for all medications, with the exception of sleep aides. If applicable, bring your sleep aides with you to the study and inform your technician.
- You may bring your pillow from home if desired.
- Please come with clean hair. No gel, mousse, hair spray, artificial braids or hairpieces may be worn.
- The sleep study will conclude at 5 a.m. the following morning. Please plan transportation accordingly.
- Parents of children (up to age 18) are required to stay for the duration of the study.
- Patients requiring assistance from their family may also have someone stay.
