Spalding Regional Hospital operates the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for all of Griffin/Spalding County Georgia with one thing in mind, providing the highest level of advanced level life support service to everyone in the community we serve. We accomplish this with the use of advanced trained EMT-Intermediates, Advanced EMT’s, Paramedics, and Critical Care Paramedics for those patients that require specialized treatment and transport. All of Spalding Regional EMS ambulances are equipped with state of the art life saving medical equipment not normally found in most EMS services.

All members of the EMS team are continuously trained in the standards of care and new medical treatments; and are required to go through rigorous training through our department as well as specialized training that is conducted through areas of the hospital such as specialized Stroke and Cardiac training. This training, along with Spalding Regional EMS’s continuous quality improvement program helps ensure that all of our community receives a level of care that is second to none.


Spalding Regional EMS also provides the area with special operations teams that have additional training in areas such as hazardous materials response, decontamination and treatment of contaminated patients, Tactical Operations SWAT Medics, as well as training in other specialized response.
