Spalding Regional Hospital was awarded the Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association for 2015, the sixth consecutive year we have have been recognized by this prestigious organization.
The recognition signifies that Spalding Regional Hospital has reached an exceptional goal of treating heart failure and stroke patients according to the guidelines of care recommended by the esteemed American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology.
Spalding Regional EMS received the Emergency Medical Service of the Year from the Georgia Association of EMS in 2014; and this same association then named our EMS Director and Department Chief, Paul Beamon, as the State's EMS Director of the Year in 2015. This was the first time an EMS Department was honored two consecutive years by the State.
Spalding Regional's Center for Wound Healing was named Center of Excellence in 2015 by Healogics, the nation's largest wound healing provider.
