Outpatient Radiology Expands Hours

GRIFFIN, GA – July 1, 2010- Spalding Regional Medical Center has expanded its Outpatient Radiology service hours to better serve our community.  For the public’s convenience we now offer outpatient CT scans, ultra sound and X-ray seven days a week, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m each day.  And we can now provide MRI scanning through Outpatient Radiology seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Area physicians can now begin scheduling patients for these hours, which offers the patient the ease of scheduling their medical tests to better fit their schedules.

When you need diagnostic testing, the quality of the image is important.  Spalding Regional recently took steps to provide advanced imaging systems for patients.  We acquired a Toshiba Aquilion 64-slice CT Scanner and upgraded our MRI Computer Software.  This new technology allows our CT scans to be completed in a matter of seconds and provides a more detailed view for the radiologist to use in identifying abnormalities.  Together with MRI technology Spalding Regional can provide some of the latest tools to help our physicians take better care of you.

Now, with our expanded hours for Outpatient Radiology, we can provide this advanced technology here in Griffin, designed to offer more convenience to fit a patient’s schedule.  To schedule any of these tests physicians can contact Spalding Regional Hospital’s Central Scheduling office at 770-229-6931.
