Spalding Regional Medical Center offers the following support groups to help members of our community find encouragement and information.

Most groups meet monthly. Please call the Support Group organizer for dates, times and details.

Diabetes Update Group
The group covers various topics related to diabetes such as nutrition, medications, exercise, foot care, eye care and managing stress. The group meets at Spalding Regional the 1st Tuesday of the month from March through October from 7 to 8 p.m. For more information, call (770) 228-2721, ext. 2305.

Living with Kidney Disease Support Group
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at Spalding Regional in the Women's Center classrooms. For more information, call Kim at (770) 229-9347.

Lupus Support Group
Meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at Spalding Regional in the Women's Center classrooms. For more information, call Myrna at (770) 228-8090.

Parkinson's Support Group
For people who are suffering from Parkinson's Disease and their family members. The group discusses topics including exercise, mobility issues, nutrition, medications and more. The group meets the 4th Wednesday of every month at Spalding Regional. For more information, call (770) 233-2001.

Survivor's Network Cancer Support Group
A friendship group for women with breast cancer and other cancers. The group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Griffin. To learn more, call Toni at (770) 468-8380.

You are Not Alone, Special Needs Children Support Group
Meets the 3rd Saturday of the month (beginning September 2008) at 10 a.m. at Spalding Regional. The group is for people who have loved ones with developmental disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.
