Griffin, GA – November 2, 2010 Spalding Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the promotion of Wadra McCullough to the position of Chief Nursing Officer. In this senior nursing position Ms. McCullough will be responsible for all nursing employees (Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and others) in all departments of the hospital. She will report directly to John Quinn, CEO.
Ms. McCullough, a local Pike County resident, has been with the hospital since 1995 where she originally served as a nurse tech shortly before receiving her RN licensure. In 2000 she was promoted to Charge Nurse and advanced to Clinical Coordinator at the hospital in 2002. In 2004 she was again promoted to Director of the Third Floor, and then assumed the role of Assistant Chief Nursing Officer in 2008.
Ms. McCullough obtained an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Gordon College, her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wesleyan College and completed her Masters in Healthcare Administration with Bellevue University in Bellevue Nebraska. She was recently accepted into the Leadership GHA Class of 2010-11, a prestigious health care leadership program of the Georgia Hospital Association, one of only 22 hospital employees from around the state accepted into the program this year.
