Local experts from Spalding Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center recently met with nearly 450 of their peers from around the nation at a three-day clinical symposium in Orlando,Fla. where they were briefed by internationally recognized specialists on new treatment options and promising research in the field. They also took part in hands-on training opportunities and received safety updates and clinical information on accepted standards of care.

British researcher and physician Andrew James Michael Boulton, M.D., M.R.C.P., F.R.C.P., led a session reviewing treatments of diabetic foot ulcers. The author of more than 400 publications in the area of diabetes and its complications, Boulton was the recipient of the first International Award for diabetic foot research and recently joined National Healing's Medical Advisory Board.
