Tamara Ison was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Spalding Regional Medical Center and Sylvan Grove Hospital effective April 24, 2007. She had been serving as interim CFO of the facilities since February 5, 2007.
Ison brings more than 10 years of financial experience in healthcare and non-healthcare industries to the position. She joined Spalding Regional Medical Center in January 2004 as Finance Director and was promoted to Controller in October 2005. Prior to that time, Ison had worked for six years in finance and accounting roles at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
“Since she has joined our team, Tamara has demonstrated excellent leadership skills, great integrity and a strong work ethic. These qualities combined with her financial experience made her a well-qualified and excellent candidate for this role,” says John Quinn, CEO of Spalding Regional Medical Center and Sylvan Grove Hospital.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work more closely with our physicians, staff and community of both facilities,” comments Ison.
Ison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a certificate in Accounting from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, and was a graduate of Griffin High School. Currently, she serves on the board of the Griffin-Spalding County United Way agency.
