GRIFFIN, GA – September 28, 2010 – Spalding Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the launch of its new visitor Courtesy Shuttle service. The program launched on September first with patients and visitors to the hospital now able to park in any visitor lot at the hospital and have a shuttle pick them up and transport them to and from a hospital entrance. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The hospital purchased an “EZ Go” shuttle cart, which seats six and can be sheltered for rainy weather and heated for winter. The shuttle is also electric and environmentally safe.
The service is coordinated through the hospitals Auxiliary Services department with all drivers volunteering their services. Drivers were trained during the two weeks leading up to September first. Charlie Martin of Heron Bay is Chair Person for the Courtesy Shuttle Service, “we’re proud to support the hospital through this new program.
