Nearly 2,000 people attended the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event in Spalding County on May 19. This year’s event raised more than $192,000 for cancer research.

Spalding Regional Medical Center was one of the event sponsors and also hosted a dinner for the 260 cancer survivors and their caregivers who were at the walk.
