Spalding Regional Medical Center was voted the “Best Hospital” and Zach Holmes, Spalding Regional Emergency Medical Services, was named “Best EMT” in the Griffin Daily News' Best of the Best 2006 awards.
The awards are conducted annually and organized by the Griffin Daily News. Griffin and Spalding County residents nominate who should be the best business or individual for each award category.
